Professional Development

Many of our clients ask us if we would be willing to teach and coach their teams on skills we display during our consulting engagements.  In response, we have established several niche professional development courses and workshops.

In addition, most of our consulting engagements involve new technology installations or new processes and procedures; typically clients need training on those as well.  As a result, we develop and deliver training programs necessary to ensure successful transitions.  Finally, we also work with clients to create and teach proprietary training for their organizations.

A few of our courses include:

The Effective Facilitator

Our consultants facilitate and/or lead meetings on a daily basis.  A critical component of our role is to move groups from where they are to where they need go.  The Effective Facilitator course takes this practical, everyday experience and combines it with curriculum designed to instill group techniques that separate great facilitators from good ones.

The 4-day course focuses on critical skills such as consensus building, keeping the group focused, maintaining energy, managing dysfunction, setting the agenda and closing with impact.  The Effective Facilitator ensures results through practical techniques, dynamic interactive exercises and practice sessions.

The objectives of the course are to define the role of a facilitator, identify the key facilitation principles, describe the best practices related to each principle, and provide participants with facilitation practice and performance feedback.  Our goal is that you leave the course with conscious competence – you understand the what, why and how and can immediately use what you learn.

The Problem Solving Tool Belt

C3 consultants frequently provide new ways of addressing a problem, issue or opportunity.  They apply various tools and techniques for moving the conversation, project, decision, strategy or acquisition forward.  The Right Tools for Generating Movement is designed to introduce those tools and techniques and give participants practical experience.  The course will combine lecture, case analysis, application and feedback along with group interaction so that participants leave understanding the tools and techniques, when to use them, and practical experience.

Team Dynamics

Everyone brings unique skills, abilities, strengths and perceptions to their work and relationships.  C3 uses the DISC profile to understand what motivates our team members, their work habits and behavioral types, along with their strengths and weaknesses, so that we can provide an environment that leads to their success.  It is also critical to understand how the strengths of our team combine with the needs of our clients.  This workshop includes the DISC profile, results, and an exploration of what it means for you as an individual, you as a part of a team, and the partnerships that might lead to the greatest collaboration of your strengths and abilities.
